We want to tell you some things about us here on the courner of 3rd and "H" Ave.

Northwest United Methodist Church sits on the corner of West “H” Ave. and North 3rd Street in Oshtemo township In the City of Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009, 3140 North 3rd Street. We have a back yard with beautiful oak trees to admire. Behind the church we have a small memorial garden that has a fence with a unlocked gate so all can enjoy. There is a small tree in the center and flowers to enjoy around the edges. With stones in two corners with ashes of some of the former people that have attended Northwest.

We would love to have you join us any Sunday; Service starts at 10:OO AM. There is always treats along with coffee, tea or hot coco, after the service. You are more than welcome to come and join us, and yes we will share the goodies. Sometimes on the first Sunday of the month we have a potluck, where we all can sample the goodies that others bring to share.

There is a large open basement to have potlucks and activities, so far this year we are planning to have a rummage sale; in the fall we are going to have games and candy for the kids around end of October. We are small and excited about growing with new faces and smiles. Pastor Mark gives a great sermon every Sunday, sometimes he surprises with special music. Jean, Pastors wife is an acoplished violinest and a great voice, She blesses us sometimes.We all love the mystery box, everyone gets a turn, or volunteers to think of what they would like to put in it and then the next Sunday Pastor relates it to scripture. We have been trying to stump him but it is hard he always finds some way to relate it to scripture.
